Hyperion Team Continues to Grow with New Hire

Introducing Dana Burgess

Dana Burgess has also recently joined the Hyperion team as automation engineer. “Dana is a strong programmer and brings over 25 years of controls experience to the team,” said Hyperion President, Jeremy Wright.

Turning hobbies into careers.

Dana fell in love with programming in high school—a passion he carried all the way to Ferris State, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and industrial management.

Dana said his favorite part of programming is “putting a brain in the system and teaching it to interact with people as it does its job.”

The place to make a difference.

After spending the last seven years working at a large automation company, Dana felt drawn to Hyperion’s tight-knit community. “I feel like it’s a place where I can really make a difference,” he said.

In his spare time, he enjoys researching genealogy and supporting the Detroit Lions and Red Wings.
