Introducing Luke Gerth

Hyperion Automation is excited to welcome Luke Gerth as an automation engineering intern. Luke is entering his senior year of high school with a keen interest in robotics and automation.

Luke grew up in Tanzania and has been homeschooled since moving to the U.S. at 11 years old. Upon returning to the states, he joined a local robotics team and has had meaningful experiences competing at local FIRST competitions and stepping into the role of team president.

For his senior year of high school, Luke will be a student in Careerline Tech Center’s robotics and automation program, gaining more hands-on experience working with automation technology like 3D printers and robotics equipment. Through the Capstone program, he will work with Hyperion to deepen his PLC programming and system integration skills. He’s eager to learn alongside experienced engineers, apply his classroom knowledge and continue growing through real-world projects.

In his free time, Luke enjoys playing his guitar and teaching instrumental lessons. Aside from his love for music, you can find Luke at the beach with his family or spending time outdoors.
