Over the last six years, the Tulip City Comics and Toy Fair has brought games, art, comics, cosplay and joy to the Holland community. Hyperion Automation had the pleasure of being the premier sponsor of this year’s event, held on April 23rd. Our sponsorship helped to bring a variety of vendors, artists, crafts and toys to the vendor hall.
According to event organizer Matthew Rodriguez, the Comic and Toy Fare was a huge success with over 1,500 attendees and more than 225 vendors. Families and comic con enthusiasts descended upon the Holland Civic Center for a variety of fun events including:
- Table Top Game Play
- Local Artist Displays
- Comic Books
- Cosplay Contests
- Q&A Panels
- Raffle Drawings

“We’re proud to participate in events that build meaningful communities in and around West Michigan,” said Hyperion Automation President Jeremy Wright. “Many members of our team (myself included) love these conventions and what they represent, so finding a way to participate in one happening right here in Holland was a no-brainer.”
Visits from Captain Tulip
Hyperion also had a great time partnering with Captain Tulip for six weeks prior to the event. The Tulip City superhero visited the Hyperion team to promote the Comic and Toy Fare and learn about automation. Mostly, he got into a little bit of mischief.
