Robotics Competition Today, Careers Tomorrow

A career in robotics sounds like a dream job, right? That’s exactly what the FIRST Robotics Competition inspires in high school students who are passionate about cutting-edge technology.

As a Gold Sponsor of the recent Lake Superior State University (LSSU) competition, Hyperion is proud to support students solving modern robotics challenges.

The 2025 event brought together thousands of students, parents, teachers and local robotics enthusiasts to celebrate the power of technology and innovation.

A Proud Sponsor of Future-Ready Programs

Two Hyperion team members, Drew Hulse and Bobby Carpenter, returned to their alma mater to showcase real-world automation. Drew, an automation engineer and a recent LSSU graduate, kicked off the event with an inspiring speech about driving future innovations.

For the third consecutive year, Hyperion is also sponsoring a local FIRST robotics team, the Hamilton Cyberhawks. As a team with members who found their passion for robotics through similar programs, we enjoy supporting organizations that spark interest in our fast-paced industry. We’re looking forward to more opportunities to help students grow their skills and pursue meaningful careers in automation!
