Welcome Evan Slaton

Meet Evan Slaton, the newest addition to the Hyperion team as an automation engineer. In this role, he will bring his technical expertise in PLC programming and robotics integration to support complex automation projects.

Evan’s 13-year career in automation engineering spans various industries, including agriculture, aerospace, automotive and packaging. Most recently, he served as the sole automation engineer at a Holland-based packaging facility where he managed design, commissioning, programming and production support.

He also brings his expertise in robotics platforms, including FANUC, ABB and DENSO, working on applications from precision medical devices to large-scale welding systems.

“Programming is my world and my way to be creative,” said Evan Slaton, “Laying out the vision in code and watching it come to life is always exciting to me.”

Working with next-generation technology and unique challenges excites Evan. He looks forward to applying his talents to projects that help him grow and sharpen his skills.

Outside of work, Evan enjoys camping and playing strategy games, such as Magic: The Gathering and Carcassonne.
