Introducing Bobby Carpenter

Bobby Carpenter has joined the Hyperion Team as a sales engineer. In this role, Bobby will apply his technical expertise throughout the sales process to assist in crafting solutions for our clients’ unique challenges.

Bobby’s interest in engineering and automation started early. During high school, he enrolled in the Kent Career Tech Center where he gained hands-on experience in maintenance and automation through an internship with a global manufacturing company. He continued his studies at Lake Superior State University (LSSU), where he earned his bachelor’s in manufacturing engineering technology.

After graduating in 2022, Bobby returned to West Michigan to start his career as a robotics engineer. He met Troy Mohrland at Hyperion’s ribbon-cutting ceremony and has followed the company’s growth over the past two years, reconnecting at MODEX 2024 and AME 2024.

Bobby isn’t the only LSSU grad to join Hyperion. He attended alongside his friend, Drew Hulse, who shares his passion for engineering and robotics. Today, they collaborate as teammates at Hyperion.

Outside of work, Bobby enjoys running and biking with his wife, playing guitar, reading, and recently started horseback riding.
